As part of a joint effort to digitally transform Uzbekistan’s financial sector, JSC “ANORBANK” and CJSC “Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos” (BS/2) have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The official signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Eler Najimittdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of ANORBANK, and Mr. Idrakas Dadašovas, Chairman of the Board of the Penki Kontinentai Group.

The memorandum aims to jointly implement projects focused on enhancing the self-service banking infrastructure and payment ecosystem in Uzbekistan. Its ultimate goal is to improve the accessibility of financial services for ANORBANK clients.

Eler Najimittdinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, ANORBANK:

“ANORBANK positions itself as a next-generation digital bank. Although we are only five years old, we have already achieved remarkable results — including the issuance of more than 3.3 million bank cards. At this stage, we recognize a growing need to expand and strengthen our physical infrastructure to complement our digital services.

We are also placing strong emphasis on serving corporate clients and the small and medium-sized business segment. For them, having access to round-the-clock, unrestricted cash-in and cash-out services is critical. Understanding the importance of these objectives, we have chosen Diebold Nixdorf as our technology partner — whose solutions in Uzbekistan are represented by BS/2.

As part of our partnership, we have signed a memorandum of understanding, and in the initial phase, ANORBANK will procure 100 state-of-the-art self-service terminals. We expect these terminals to be delivered, installed, and fully operational across the country during 2025 — offering our customers new, flexible, and efficient ways to engage with the bank. I believe this marks an important step toward building a modern and sustainable financial service ecosystem in Uzbekistan.”

Among the key innovations are the introduction of a broad range of customer services, including cash deposit and withdrawal, direct account access, payment for goods and services, and currency exchange.

The signing of the memorandum represents a significant milestone in the creation of a new self-service technology platform. In the coming years, ANORBANK and BS/2 will focus on the practical implementation of their agreement — from expanding the ATM network to deploying advanced software solutions and monitoring systems.
